AYOM SUPPORTS COVID-19 EFFORTS IN BENUE WITH ISOLATION CENTRE

Foremost Nigerian Industrialist and Chairman of Cherrywood Conglomerate, Mr. Moses Ayom, has commended the proactive measures by the Federal Government in containing the Covid19 pandemic and urged Nigerians to adhere strictly to the directives issued by the NCDC.

According to him, the measures taken by the government have won global acclaim because of the transparency shown in the management of the pandemic and urged other public spirited individuals and coporate organizations to support current efforts by donating generously.

To help contain the spread of the pandemic, Mr. Ayom has made available his 5000 square meter Makurdi personal residence, located beside the CBN, to the Benue State Government to serve as one of the isolation centers.

Ayom described the recent donation of tons of Corona Virus relief items by China to the Federal Government of Nigeria as an unrivaled humanitarian act which shall never be forgotten.

Mr Ayom, who was recently named Outstanding Advocate of China/Nigeria Relations by the Chinese government, expressed delight at the generosity of Mr. Jack Ma and the CCECC, saying they had unmistakably proven themselves as friends of Nigeria. He said being an active participant in smoothening the relationship between the two countries, he is not surprised at this gesture because both entities have demonstrated similar qualities in their home country.

Mr Ayom who is also the proprietor of Abuja’s leading Arts and Culture Center , The Heritage Africa village square located by the famous Jabi Lake is an indigene of Benue state and one of a handful to extend a hand of assistance to the state government with regard to the looming COVID-19 menace.
